If you have purchased a plan directly from Qualtrics using a credit card, then the following steps apply to you for cancellation. You can view the renewal date and price in the billing tab of account settings.
- Go to your Account Settings.
- Navigate to the Billing tab.
- Click Cancel Renewal from the 'Active Subscription' section to stop the auto-renewal of your subscription.
- Remove your payment details if necessary.
Your account will remain active until the end of your current billing cycle. Qualtrics subscriptions typically auto-renew, so if you’re on a paid plan, be sure to cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid being charged.
How to delete your Qualtrics Account?
When you are using a free account, you can easily deactivate the account on your own. Let’s see the steps below.
- Log in to your Qualtrics account.
- Click your profile icon in the upper-right corner.
- Select Account Settings.
- Scroll to the bottom and click "Deactivate Account".
- You’ll be asked to confirm the action by typing the password.
- Once confirmed, you’ll be logged out, and your account will be closed.
Please note that this process is irreversible. Make sure to export any data you need before deactivation.
How to cancel your Enterprise Account?
If you access Qualtrics through your organization, university, or employer, you won’t have the option to cancel the account yourself.
- Contact your Brand Administrator or your organization’s Qualtrics Account Executive.
- Request for your account to be deleted or deactivated.
- You may also ask them to transfer ownership of your surveys if needed.
Brand Administrators are Qualtrics users who are in charge of moderating their license. Administrators can change the features users have access to, create and delete accounts, manage brand content, and more. If you’re unsure who your Brand Admin is, you can reach out to Qualtrics Support for help.
Things to make sure of before cancelling Qualtrics

- Export all your surveys in QSF format.
- Download your response data in CSV format.
- Save any custom dashboards or reports you may need later.
