What is the Connor Davidson Resilience Scale?

The Connor Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC) is a 25-item self-report measure of resilience. It was developed to measure the degree to which an individual is able to cope with and bounce back from stress, difficult events, and other challenges in life.

What is the purpose of the CD-RISC?

The purpose of the CD-RISC is to measure the resilience of an individual in order to help identify areas of strength and areas where assistance may be needed.

What is the difference between the CD-RISC and other resilience scales?

The CD-RISC is unique in that it measures both personal and situational resilience. Other scales typically measure only one or the other. Additionally, the CD-RISC is a self-report measure, meaning that participants rely on their own reports of their experiences when completing the scale.
