What are human rights?
Human rights are basic rights and freedoms that all people are entitled to regardless of nationality, sex, national or ethnic origin, race, religion, language, or other status.
What are the different types of human rights?
There are many different types of human rights, including the right to life, liberty, and security of person; freedom from torture, slavery, and arbitrary arrest; the right to a fair trial and equality before the law; the right to privacy; freedom of religion; freedom of expression; and the right to participate in government.
What is the difference between civil and political rights and economic, social, and cultural rights?
Civil and political rights are rights that protect individuals from infringement by the state, such as the right to life, liberty, and security of person, and the right to a fair trial. Economic, social, and cultural rights are rights that protect individuals from infringement.
