What sample size do I need for reliable A/B test results?

There is no strict minimum, but results become more reliable at 150+ respondents per variant. At smaller sample sizes, the distribution between variants may not be perfectly balanced — this evens out naturally as responses come in.

How are respondents assigned to variants?

Variants are assigned automatically when a respondent opens the survey. Assignment is stored via localStorage, so a respondent who returns always sees the same variant. Distribution is random — at 50+ respondents it balances out naturally.

How many variants can I create?

There is no limit on the number of variants you create in BlockSurvey. But for actionable testing it is usually limited to 3–4 variants of the same question.

Can I add my own follow-up questions to an A/B test?

Yes. After displaying the A/B variant, you add your own follow-up questions of any question type. This lets you measure exactly what you want to measure, with full control over the survey flow.

Where do I see the results for each variant?

Responses are automatically tagged per variant and displayed in a side-by-side results table inside BlockSurvey. No exporting or manual cross-tabulation needed.
