Lay Out Criteria and Levels in One Grid
Add a Matrix Single question and list your criteria as rows, such as thesis, evidence, organization and mechanics. Put your performance levels across the top: Exemplary, Proficient, Developing and Beginning. Graders see the whole rubric on one screen and pick one level per row.
Give Each Level a Point Value
Open Assign Weight/Score and type the points for each level, for example 4, 3, 2 and 1. If your scale runs the other way, one click reverses the order. To make one criterion count more, put it in its own matrix question and give its levels bigger point values.
Show the Final Score When Grading Ends
BlockSurvey adds the points from every row into a running Score, so nobody totals a column by hand. For weighted rubrics, write a numeric expression that multiplies a question's score. The closing screen can show the total in a color for its score range, or you can hide it from graders and keep it in your results.
Compare Scores Across Judges
Add a judge-name dropdown, or send each judge a link with a hidden variable. Then open Compare in your results and pick that field. Each judge's scores sit side by side, so a judge who rates every project a level lower than the rest stands out before you announce winners.
